Why choose LambiPdf?
LambiPdf uses your browser to merge, split, sign and edit documents rather than uploading their contents for processing. No account is required. Check results before sharing them; performance and offline availability depend on your device and which processing assets have loaded. Read our privacy policy for other website data flows.
Frequently asked questions
Find instructions and limitations in the PDF and image tool guides, with worked examples for PDF tables, OCR and redaction, plus extracting pages and filling PDF forms. For background reading, see our PDF guides on redaction, OCR, tables, compression, signatures and passwords.
Is LambiPdf really free?
Yes. The PDF and image tools are free to use with no sign-up and no added watermarks. Optional tips via Buy me a coffee help keep them running.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
PDFs, images and spreadsheets are processed in your browser. The document tools do not upload their contents to LambiPdf for processing. Messages and attachments you choose to send to support are a separate action.
Do I need to install anything or create an account?
No installation or account is required. Open the website, choose a tool and add your files.
What can I do with LambiPdf?
Merge, split, extract, rotate and reorder PDF pages; crop, compress, add page numbers and watermarks, sign, redact, fill existing forms, encrypt/decrypt and run OCR. Convert PDF tables to Excel or CSV and back, extract text and embedded images, convert images to PDF or PDF pages to images, and convert between EPUB e-books and PDF. Image editor also converts JPEG and PNG, resizes, crops, rotates and compresses photos, with batch ZIP downloads.
Does it work on mobile?
The tools are designed for modern browsers on computers, tablets and phones. Image uploads use your device file or photo picker. Browser support and available memory affect performance; the image editor accepts JPEG and PNG, not HEIC.
Is it safe for confidential documents?
This app processes documents on your device. Suitability for confidential material also depends on your device, browser extensions and organisation requirements. Check exported redactions and other results before sharing.
How do I find the Image editor?
Open PDF tools in the header or All tools in the editor menu, then search for image or photo and choose Image editor. Typing a new search searches all tools; you can select a category afterwards to narrow the results.
What do Apply, Preview and Save do in Image editor?
Apply generates the edited image in the main canvas, with a small unchanged original for comparison. Preview opens the current result in a larger window with a close button. Save opens the download review: one image downloads individually and a batch downloads as a ZIP.
Can I extract images from a PDF as JPEG or PNG?
Yes. Extract images offers PNG or JPEG output inside a ZIP, keeping the extracted pixel dimensions. PNG is lossless; JPEG uses lossy compression and fills transparent pixels with white. PDF to images instead exports whole pages.
Will converting or compressing an image always reduce its size?
No. The result depends on its content, format, dimensions and JPEG quality. Image editor shows the actual result size before download. PNG conversion cannot restore detail lost in a JPEG, and enlarging an image does not add detail.
What happens to my files after editing?
Working files, results and history stay in page memory. Clear images discards the image editor session; PDF Clear all can retain undo history. Reloading or closing the tab ends the session, but does not guarantee secure erasure from device memory or backups. Downloaded files remain wherever you saved them.
